From the recording Seasons Change
This track was written in London after experiencing "Exhibitionism" The Rolling Stones Exhibit put on at the Saatchi Gallery. We needed a break from the studio after several days being secluded inside . As we headed out riding the tube, Rodney challenged us to return with a song idea. After all how could we go see this amazing band's story and not come back with more than a memory. We get back that night and channeling the 'n roll vibe of the Stones, out comes "Spirit of Summer".
Recording this in the studio was lots of fun. We took the approach to just play it like we were performing for an audience. We ran the song several times and kept one whole performance of the band playing together.
